Mise en scene practice Psycho

Psycho Mise en scene 

·     The birds in the corners of the room are all looking down at the girl as he is talking to her implying that he has something planned for her as everything is watching his in a mysterious way.
·     The way the hotel is shown gives you the impression that there is something wrong with it as its all dark and gloomy which makes it not want you to go and stay there. The top of the building is dark whereas the bottom is light which might mean that the people who live at the top have a dark side to them.
·     He acts nervous presenting the tone that he is hiding something from her as he is talking he is very careful with what he says and that his hobby is killing animals it gives the idea that he might just enjoy killing things.
·     When they are talking and the camera goes on the man everything around him is also dull and dead which might again give the impression that he is not all that he seems. But when the camera is on her the room is bright meaning that she is the good one in this scene. 
·     He has a sinister laugh when he talks about going mad sometimes denoting that could have a hidden meaning behind it to why he has done that.

·     There is a crow behind her when she stands up and a crow can symbolize death also its looking directly at her in that shot as well.

Pre-production portfolio: Financing: Financing is important in the pre-production part of media as making a movie costs a lot of money. Things such as cast and crew need to be paid also facilities need to be hired this would cost a lot of money depending on where about their needing to film also props and costumes may also need to be bought in order for you to be able to film the thing you want to. These and many more other things can cost a lot to pay for so there’s two types of finances which are private and public. Public funding means money that has been provided publically funded agencies for example the nation lottery supports the arts from the department of culture. The other private funding is where they get funds from an investor this is harder than the public funding as it means that the person or company who is actually giving you money needs to be sure that they are going to get their money back so less known people may find it hard to get this sort of funding. ...
